Mr. Keegan has been providing quality criminal defense representation in northern Minnesota for over 27 years. His area of expertise is exclusively criminal defense litigation primarily in the state trial courts in northern Minnesota, although he occasionally appears in the federal trial court and Minnesota State Appellate Courts. Mr. Keegan has been certified as a Criminal Trial Specialist in Criminal Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since May 1986. He has conducted seminars on criminal litigation topics and trial skills for others in the criminal law field. He has represented persons charged with all types of criminal offenses with concentration on serious felony offenses.

Mr. Keegan is included in the 2005 and 2006 edition of the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers with the prestigious “AV” Rating, indicating the highest level of professional excellence by the most well-recognized rating system in the country.
