Keegan Mr. Keegan has been providing quality criminal defense representation in northern Minnesota since 1978. His area of expertise is exclusively criminal defense litigation, and related forfeiture, primarily in the State Courts in northern Minnesota, although he occasionally appears in the Federal Trial Court and Minnesota State Appellate Courts. Mr. Keegan is a Criminal Trial Specialist certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1986. He was granted recognition and certification by this prestigious national organization more quickly than most other Certified Specialists, after only eight years of legal practice. He is also newly certified, with the first annual Certification Group as a Criminal Law Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association. Mr. Keegan has conducted seminars on criminal litigation topics and trial skills for others in the criminal law field. He has represented persons charged with all types of criminal offenses with concentration on serious felony offenses. Mr. Keegan is included in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers since 2005.
